Book lovers have a new reason to tune in, with Alde Blythe Community Radio launching Mad About Books, a weekly programme celebrating books, authors and reading.
Presented by Brad Young, the show features non-fiction author Robert Ashton and novelist Simon Eyre. Each week, Robert takes a different author to the beach to talk about books, writing and their favourite music, while Simon, creator of the Daniel Sawyer thriller series, shares advice on self-publishing.
The programme airs Wednesdays at 6pm from 19 August, with a repeat on Sunday mornings. Future episodes will also feature booksellers, festival organisers and other literary figures.
Robert Ashton, whose latest book Down to Earth was published by Wilton Square Books in July, said the show aims to bring authors and books to new audiences.
